I cant connect a standard hdmi cable to my xbox 360 arcade because the plug on the av cable covers the hdmi socket, does anyone know if there is another av cable or accessory i need to buy and where i can buy it from thanks

If you are using HDMI you don’t need to use the AV harness. HDMI carries video and audio.
Edit@Irishboy: If you don’t know what you are talking about don’t post anything. All three versions for the XBox have HDMI and XBox 360 is a HD platform and that is how it was designed.
