Cables and Accessories question by purplestarpixels: What accessories do you need for an LCD tv?
I’m buying my first LCD TV this weekend and I’m just wondering what sort of accessories (cables? or anything of the like?) I would need in order to make my tv work. I’m not going to be able to get my cable until Tuesday, but what else will I need to do? I’m planning on asking the sales man when I purchase my tv, but I also wanted to hear other opinions just to make sure I’m not getting sold stuff I don’t really need to buy. Really appreciate it. I already know what size and brand I’m going for……I’m really just curious about the things/steps I’ll need to take to ensure my tv works properly. Thanks.

well if you want to watch TV before you get your cable then you can use the antenna that you used for your other TVs. You don’t really need anything to make it work, it’ll come with the power cord and that’s about it. You might want to invest in some speakers or a home theater system b/c the speakers on most flat screen TVs are lacking.
